Verona: Friar Lawrence’s cell
characters: Friar Lawrence, Friar John

Friar John goes to Friar Lawrences cell and Friar Lawrence is expecting news from romeo about the letter that was ment to be sent. Then Friar John explains that on the way to meet another Friar to accompany him the town health officials locked him in a house because they believed that the house was plagued and they were worried. After that Friar John handed the letter back to him and claimed that is could not be sent even by a messenger as they were fearful of infection. Then Friar John explains how very important this letter was and askes for an iron crowbar so he can open Juliets tomb. He decides to write another letter to Mantua.
